1. Who we are

EdgeInsights ("we", "us", "our") operates the website edgeinsights.ai. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data.

2. Data we collect

Account data: When you sign up, we collect your email address and a hashed password (stored securely by Supabase). We never see or store your plain-text password.

Payment data: Credit/debit card details are collected and processed entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number. We receive your Stripe customer ID and subscription status.

Usage data: We collect anonymous analytics such as pages viewed, features used, and bet clicks to improve the service. This data is not linked to your identity.

Alert preferences: If you opt in to notifications, we store your preferred channels (WhatsApp, Telegram, Signal) and associated contact info.

3. How we use your data

  • To provide and maintain your account and subscription
  • To send you +EV alerts if you opt in
  • To improve our service and fix issues
  • To communicate important account updates (e.g. billing changes)

We do not sell your data to third parties. Ever.

4. Third-party services

We use the following services that may process your data:

  • Supabase — Authentication and database (hosted in the EU)
  • Stripe — Payment processing (PCI-DSS compliant)
  • The Odds API — Odds data (no personal data shared)
  • OpenAI — AI chatbot (chat messages are sent for processing; no personal identifiers are included)

5. Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you logged in and remember your preferences (e.g. region). We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. See our cookie banner for details.

6. Your rights (GDPR)

If you are in the UK or EU, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction or deletion of your data
  • Withdraw consent for optional processing (e.g. alerts)
  • Export your data in a portable format
  • Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority

7. Data retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you cancel and request deletion, we remove your personal data within 30 days. Anonymised usage data may be retained indefinitely.

8. Security

All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Authentication is handled by Supabase with industry-standard practices. Payment data is handled entirely by Stripe under PCI-DSS Level 1 compliance.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll notify you of significant changes via email or an in-app notice.
